EN  My research activity mainly focuses on network analysis, with special emphasis on the biological and clinical applications. More specifically, I work on network comparison (e.g. network alignment of protein-protein interaction networks and 3D protein structures) and pattern and motif search in networks. I’m currently collaborating with Prof. Paolo Vigneri and the Center of Experimental Oncology and Ematology of Policlinico Hospital in Catania, where I work on the development of data mining algorithms in the clinical field for studying mutations in breast cancer patients.
